PV Sindhu enters women’s singles semifinal of Indonesia Open

Sindhu defeated Japan’s N Okuhara in straight games 21-14,14-07 in the quarter final. In Semifinals, Sindhu will take on China’s Chen Y tomorrow. Chen Y defeated Zhang B of US 21-14, 21-17, 16-21 in quarter finals.  

In the Men’s Singles pre-quarterfinal match, India’s top ranked men’s singles shuttler and 8th seed Kidambi Srikanth was knocked out of the tournament. 

He lost to Angus Ng Ka Long of Hong Kong. In men’s doubles, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty of India lost to Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and Kevin Sukamuljo of Indonesia.
