SC gives 7 days to Kolkata Police Chief Rajeev Kumar to seek legal remedies

The Supreme Court has vacated interim protection given to former Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar from arrest by CBI over his alleged role in destroying evidence in Saradha chit fund case.

The Apex Court has, however, granted a seven- day protection to Rajeev Kumar from arrest and allowed him time to seek legal remedies.

The court has accepted the CBI’s plea to interrogate Rajeev Kumar in connection with the case, after seven days.
