India beat Sri Lanka 5-0 in 5th SAFF Women’s Championship

Indian girls dominated the entire game and took 4-0 lead in the first half. Grace Dangmei, Sandhya Rangnathan, Indumati and Sangeeta scored goals. In second half Ratanabala Devi scored fifth goal for India.

With this win India finished at top in Group B and Sri Lanka got second place. 

In Group A host Nepal secured first position and Bangladesh remained at number two. In the semi finals now India will take on Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will play against Nepal on Wednesday. 

India has remained unbeaten in SAFF championship. This is team India’s 21st victory and it has won the championship four times.
