Prime Minister Narendra Modi beginning his whirlwind visit to North East from Arunachal Pradesh. Itanagar donned its best to greet the Prime Minister. The flag waving youngsters captured the warmth of state and PM Modi reciprocated in equal measure. This commitment to the development of Eastern most part of the country visible as Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of Green Field Airport at Hollongi. He also dedicated 110 MW Pare Hydro Electric Plant to the Nation. Some other landmark projects for which PM laid the foundation stone are two Substations.
He Inaugurated 50 Health and Wellness Centres across Arunachal Pradesh. Prime Minister also laid the Foundation Stone of Film and Television Institute at Jote in the Arunachal Pradesh. Once completed the Institute will offer under graduate courses. PM also laid the foundation stone of the Sela Tunnel, which will provide all-weather connectivity to Tawang Valley for civilians as well as security forces.
Prime Minister also inaugurated an expanded Tezu airport, bigger passenger plane can now land here, which will give a boost to the business in the region. PM said that floral products can now be taken easily to other parts of the country with the expansion of this airport.
Prime Minister also declared 100% household electrification of Arunachal Pradesh under SAUBHAGYA Scheme. Congratulating Arunachal Pradesh for achieving this feet, the prime minister said soon every house hold will be electrified across the country. Prime Minister said that basic infrastructure has been a long standing demand of the state which had been ignored by the previous govts. Talking about boosting connectivity, Prime Minister Highlighted that apart from airways, his governmnet has connected the state to the rest of the country through railways and roadways, which will solve the connectivity issue.
Overall Prime Minister’s visit to Arunachal Pradesh known as the security gateway of the country shows his government’s commitment to giving an impetus to the development of North-East.
