A magisterial enquiry has been ordered into Greater Noida building collapse case.
Rescue and relief operations are underway in full swing at the site where a six-storied under construction building collapsed and fell on another building last night. Four bodies have been recovered by the rescuers so far.
Several people are still feared trapped under the debris. Four NDRF teams are engaged in the rescue operations.
Soon after the tragedy, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the District Magistrate to follow up with the National Disaster Response Force team and Police for relief measures and to ensure immediate rescue.
Meanwhile, three persons, including the builder and his two associates, have been arrested in connection with the incident so far.
NDRF personnel are at the site, helping with the rescue operations since last night. DG NDRF said that the force is using its expertise as well as equipment to provide all possible assistance.
Deputy CM of UP Dinesh Sharma has said that the guilty will not be spared. He said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has brought in strict laws to rein in builders. RERA is also being implemented throughout the state.
