Met Department, has issued a fresh warning about thunder squalls and hailstorms at isolated places over Western Himalayan Region and thunderstorm accompanied with squall over northern plains from Sunday till Wednesday.
IMD, in its weather forecast said, isolated dust storms are also likely to continue over parts of Rajasthan during the forecast period. It further said that for next three to five days, conducive conditions for isolated thunder squalls and heavy rainfall prevails over north-east India and south Peninsula.
Thunderstorm with rain may also occur over some places in Delhi and adjoining NCR including Faridabad, Ballabhgarh, Khurja, Greater Noida, and Bulandsehar during next few hours.
Meanwhile, in Uttar Pradesh, state government has decided to suspend collection of all revenue and power recoveries from the farmers in the all dust storm and heavy raining affected districts.
Dust storms and heavy rains in the state had claimed 76 lives this week and left 92 injured. After visiting highly affected districts of Agra and Kanpur, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the suspension of dues collection.
State Government has send a memorandum to the Centre seeking monitory help of above 153 crore rupees from National Disaster Relief Fund.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each from PM’s National Relief Fund for the next of kin of those who have lost their lives due to severe dust storm earlier this week in various states of Northern India. PM also approved Rs. 50,000 each for those seriously injured.
