J&K: Stonepelters plummet to a new low

In a shameful act, the stonepelters targetted school children of Shopian in which about 50 children were travelling. 2nd Class student Rehan sustained head injuries in the incident

The injured children have been admitted in hospital in Srinagar for treatment. The kin of the children are visibly upset and angry at this incident.

The police have registered an FIR in this case and have launched search operation to nab the stonepelters. The State DGP S P Vaid in a tweet said that the criminals behind those who have targetted the school children will not be spared.

Meanwhile, state Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has also expressed her anger at this incident, tweeting to express her shock. She said that the perpetrators of this senseless and cowardly act will be brought to justice.
