Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Friday asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi “Where are the promised ‘acchey din’.”
At an election rally in Rae Bareli, he said, “Mr. Modi makes hollow promises.” He accused the Prime Minister of snatching a food park project from Rae Bareli “to take revenge”.
“In 2014, the Prime Minister promised to change Varanasi, his Lok Sabha constituency,” he pointed out and asked the media to show what had happened in Varanasi.
A rail factory in Rae Bareli, Lok Sabha constituency of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, had been put on hold, he noted.
Mr. Gandhi’s sister Priyanka Vadhra took a dig at Mr. Modi’s comment that he is “adopted son” of Uttar Ptadesh. “Why the State needs an ‘adopted son’ when it has its own sons,” she asked.
