Kolkata, May 3 (IANS) The CD of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s speech, in which she threatened police, has been sent to the Election Commission in Delhi, a state poll official said on Tuesday.
“The CD of her speech has been sent to the Election Commission. They will decide on this,” said additional chief electoral officer Dibyendu Sarkar said.
The poll panel had sought a report from the district magistrate in East Midnapore for alleged model poll code violation.
The commission had earlier slapped a show-cause notice to Banerjee for violating the model code of conduct.
Addressing an election meeting in East Midnapore on Sunday, Banerjee had issued a virtual threat to police and accused them of creating pandemonium.
