Foxconn finalises 2 industrial parcels in Navi Mumbai: Srcs

CNCB-TV18’s Priya Sheth, quoting sources, says that the total capacity of the industrial unit is about two lakh square feet and manufacturing is likely to begin by March 2016.

Taiwanese electronics firm, Foxconn, as a part of its investment plan in Maharashtra, has finalized two industrial sheds in Navi Mumbai, sources say.

CNCB-TV18’s Priya Sheth, quoting sources, says that the total capacity of the industrial unit is about two lakh square feet and manufacturing is likely to begin by March 2016.

Foxconn has committed an investment of USD 5 billion in Maharashtra over the next five years

Foxconn will manufacture select ancillaries and phone models in this plant, adds the source. The land will be sub-leased from Raheja Universal. The company is yet to finalise land parcels in Khopoli and Chakan.

Neither Foxconn nor Raheja Universal replied to any of CNBC-TV18’s queries regarding the news.
