NEW DELHI:US secretary of state John Kerry on Tuesday said that his country’s economic partnership with India is growing stronger with each passing day.
Speaking at the India-US strategic and commercial dialogue ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s US trip, Kerry said “In today’s era, foreign policy is economic policy and economic policy is foreign policy.
On the growing India-US ties, Kerry said “our collaboration with India is growing. It will benefit both countries and its people.”
“United States is one of India’s largest defence suppliers,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, foreign minister Sushma Swaraj said India and US are on a path of increased cooperation.
“This is a very busy time for India and US relations,” she said thanking John Kerry for very fruitful discussions between the two countries ahead of PM’s US trip.
