Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurates All India Civil Services Cricket Tournament

Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Prime Minister’s Office, Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh, inaugurated here today the All India Civil Services Cricket Tournament at the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board’s Vinay Marg Sports Complex.

Dr. Jitendra Singh, while highlighting the need for promotion of sports amongst the Government employees, said that such Tournaments will enhance their working capabilities. He informed that the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has initiated several measures for the welfare of Government employees and the Department is shortly organizing Stress Management programme. Yoga Training is also being organized in association with the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga at 40 Centers in and outside Delhi from 1st April, 2015, he added.

The All India Civil Services Cricket Tournament is being organized by the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board, a society under the aegis and control of the DoPT, that is the central agency for promotion of cultural and sports activities amongst the Central Government Employees.

Twenty-five teams from different States including the youngest state of Telangana besides Union Territories and the Regional Sports Board are participating in the tournament being held in New Delhi from 18th-to-25th March, 2015.
