Andhra Pradesh universities have to wait for grade system

Education NewsNo work towards the same has yet been taken up by the AP government. Officials are still grappling with Eamcet in the state while the matter pertaining to the CBCS is pending with the Chief Minister’s Office.

Senior officials of the AP State Council of Higher Education informed that no work had begun towards implementing the system though the Center was urging all states to do so.

So far about 23 central universities in the country have adopted the system along with several deemed universities.

A senior AP State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) official said, “The CBCS is under our active consideration. It is under the Chief Minister’s review.” He added, “But we are caught up with Eamcet and its preparations. This year being the first year of separate Eamcet, we have to ensure there are no glitches. There is a lot of work to be done this year. May be after this month we can begin work on CBCS but it is unlikely that we will switch from the coming academic year.”
