Pakistani rangers violate ceasefire along International Border in Jammu

Pakistani Rangers violated the ceasefire by resorting to firing by small arms on Border Out Posts (BoPs) along the International Border in Jammu district, prompting the BSF to retaliate.

“Pakistani Rangers resorted to intermittent small arms firing on Border out Posts along the IB in Arnia sector of Jammu since late last night”, a senior BSF officer told PTI.

BSF troops guarding the borderline retaliated resulting in intermittent exchanges which continued till 0700 hours, he said, adding that there was no loss of life or injury to anyone in the firing.

The firing comes after BSF foiled an infiltration bid in the area yesterday.
