Infosys Q3 profit rises 5%, FY15 $ revenue guidance at 7-9%

The more soothing factor in today’s results was its FY15 dollar revenue guidance that maintained at 7-9 percent, which analysts had expected to be cut.

Infosys , the second largest software services exporter in India, beat street expectations on Friday with the third quarter consolidated net profit rising 5 percent as against estimated growth of 1.9 percent. Profit increased to Rs 3,250 crore in the quarter ended December 2014 compared to Rs 3,096 crore in previous quarter.

The company matched street expectations on revenue front. Revenue in rupee terms grew by 3.4 percent to Rs 13,796 crore in October-December quarter against Rs 13,342 crore in July-September quarter of the current financial year 2014-15.

Dollar revenue rose by 0.77 percent to USD 2,218 million from USD 2201 million during the same period.
