An AirAsia flight QZ8501 with 162 people aboard has been reported missing 42 minutes after take off after take off from Indonesia.
It was on its way to Singapore.
The Airbus 320-200 took off from Surabaya, Indonesia at 05.20 local time and was due to arrive in Singapore two hours later, but has lost contact with air traffic control.
Passengers on the missing flight include 138 adults, 16 children and one baby, and seven crew.
Satellite image around time the flight went missing showed very vigorous thunderstorms north of Surabaya.
