Xiaomi Mi 4 with international LTE support to arrive December 16

Xiaomi announced today that the long anticipated Xiaomi Mi 4 FDD-LTE will be available starting next Tuesday – December 16.

This of course comes as great news because the original Xiaomi Mi 4 is equipped with a FDD-LTE modem which is mostly unusable outside China. The new FDD modem will still work on China Unicom as well as most international 4G networks.

Initially only the white 16GB OF Xiaomi Mi 4 will be available for a price tag of CNY 1,999 or about $ 320. The 64GB black FDD-LTE version still has no official release date or price announced.

Other than the alternative modem, the new Xiaomi Mi 4 will remain practically unchanged. The flagship will still ship with a high-end setup, featuring a 5-inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 801 SOC and 3GB of RAM.
