Govt should set up National Development and Reforms Commission: Fadnavis

The BJP-Shiv Sena government in Maharashtra has made a strong pitch for the  replacement of Planning Commission by the new National Development and  Reforms Commission in a move that is seena as a serious attempt to achieve ”Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’. 

At the meeting convened by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi with states, Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis today said the proposed body should meet at the regional level, headed by the PM and the chief ministers.

Prescribing it as a problem solving body, Fadnavis  said it should take up regional issues and deliberate on central laws like Coastal Regulation Zones, Eco Sensitive Zones rules which come in the way of economic growth and employment creation.
