Though the education ministers of the two states have been saying that discussions are in progress to take a decision on the examinations, the Telangana government made a quick move and formed its own Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) on Thursday.
Jagadish Reddy will be the chairman of the board and higher education secretary Vikas Raj the vice-chairman. Shailaja Ramaiyer, managing director of Handicrafts Development Corporation, has been given charge as secretary of TSBIE. Retired IAS officer M.Veerabhadraiah has been appointed as legal consultant on contract basis and Mukthdar, retired controller of examinations of united state’s Intermediate Board, will be the controller of examinations of TSBIE.
