CBI arrests Gen Secy of IOB Employees Union on graft charges

The case pertains to alleged scam in recruitment of 950 temporary staff in the branches across TN

CBI, Chennai has registered a group of criminal cases pertaining to recruitment scam in the engagement of 950 temporary messengers and nweepers that took place in Indian Overseas Bank in Tamil Nadu.

L Balasubramanian, Special Cadre Assistant (Retired), IOB and President of All India Overseas Bank Employees Union (AIOBEU)  was arrested and produced before the CBI Court.  Further searches were conducted at 18 places throughout
