Govt submits black money list to SC

List includes 627 names, which won’t be made public

After being reprimanded by the Supreme Court yesterday, the Centre has submitted the entire black money list to the apex court in a sealed cover.

Media reports said that the list includes names of around 627 Indians who allegedly have unaccounted money abroad. The list won’t be made public, reports added.

Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi submitted a set of three documents in court.

The court had slammed the government for its reluctance over the issue yesterday.

The apex court’s order came a day after NDA government disclosed the names of seven persons and an entity in this regard.

“Not one, two or three, but the entire list,” the judges insisted. “You are not going to protect anybody, and we will examine the information; why this protective umbrella?” they asked.
