This program is aimed to inculcate and incubate the entrepreneurship abilities in Indian women. This program has social objective of empowering women by elevating them socially and thus helping them to emerge them as leaders. It has got a hierarchical approach in its reach starting from tier1 to tier 2 and then to tier 3. Initially Google fixed to reach out women in tier-1 i.e. cities (urban), after successful execution, it will be extending its reach to tier2- semi-urban and then tier 3, rural areas. Google was able to reach successfully 2000 entrepreneurs in its tier-1 stage and now it is planning to extend to tier-2 stage.
The program is going to provide a web space, its tools and train women in aspects of how to sell their products online, how to connect to the targeted customers and also creates community so as to support each other.
Techniques adopted to help women in building online presence:
- Collaborating effectively using tools like Gmail, calendar, docs.
- Connecting with customers using Google+ hangouts
- Online product demos through you tube, advertising through Adwords and Adsense
- Tracking and optimizing online presence through Google analytics and ripples on Google+
