Opening Bell: Global cues positive but Nifty may open flat

Global markets ended higher with the Dow and S&P 500 closing at record peaks in a Fed fuelled rally.

The Indian equity market is likely to open flat today with a marginal positive bias. The SGX Nifty, an indicator of the market opening, was trading at 8132.50, up 4.50 points.

Global markets ended higher with the Dow and S&P 500 closing at record peaks in a Fed fuelled rally. All eyes will be on the Alibaba issue that lists tonight on NYSE. Meanwhile, Asian markets opened in the green with Japan’s Nikkei at fresh 2014 high.
