Yuvraj Singh’s father arrested over a family brawl case

Former Test cricketer Yograj Singh and father of Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh, was arrested by the Haryana police today in connection with a family brawl case, police said.

The cricketer-turned-actor had been arrested from Panchkula today along with another person after a case under various sections of the IPC was registered against him, Panchkula’s Deputy Commissioner of Police Rahul Sharma said.

Yograj’s sister and her family had a scuffle with their neighbour over parking last night, following which Singh was booked on various charges including trespassing and criminal intimidation in connection with the incident, he said.

The 56-year-old had recently undergone a surgery to remove a throat tumour in the United States.

Yograj did a cameo in the Milkha Singh’s biopic ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, last year.
