Will Nifty hit fresh all-time high of 7900 today?

The market hit a new record high as foreign investment in debt and equity markets crossed USD 25 billion this year.

The Indian equity market is likely to open in the green-marking a fresh new all-time high as indicated by the SGX Nifty that was trading at 7905.00, up 33 points.

Global markets, meanwhile, rallied on de-escalation of geopolitical risk. The S&P 500 is now within one percent of an all-time high. European markets too saw over 1 percent gains. In other asset classes, Brent Crude fell to a 14-month low.

Back home, lenders mount pressure on Bhushan Steel after the company gets hit by the Syndicate Bank bribe-for-loans-scam. A consortium of bankers say auditors will monitor cash flow on a daily basis, conduct a forensic audit of the company and will appoint three nominee directors to the board.

And MCX gears up to dump Financial Technologies- the board will move Sebi, seeking to remove the 2 percent cap which will allow FTIL to sell its entire 5 percent stake. It also proposes to tweak the software agreement to limit its reliance on FTIL.

Furthermore, what comes a major relief for the Goa mining industry, chief minister Manohar Parrikar has informed the house that the government will not oppose the High Court order paving the way for 28 mining leases to be renewed. Goa will also become the first state to rule out the auction of mines for now.
